Vote For Science 2018
NEW HAVEN CT, 2018: Class Action joined the Union of Concerned Scientists and its 500,000 supporters in confronting the presidential administration’s efforts to sideline science. Funded by UCS, this public art project intended to break down ideological divisions and asserted that spiritual and rational thinking can co-exist in a democratic society. The billboard series used vernacular language and a patriotic color palette to remind American citizens that the mid-term elections are critical regarding upcoming decisions on science-based policies. The three billboards were positioned on Interstate 95, one of the most highly trafficked thoroughfares in the country, throughout September 2018. The project was extended with additional billboards in Indiana and Florida and sidewalk stencils in Washington, DC.
The project was adopted by For Freedoms.
